2018 Nordstrom Anniversary Sale: My High Ten Picks

Anyone else make any initial Nordstrom Anniversary Sale purchases? Took me three years to place my order and a million hiccups along the way–holy shit people are crazy for this. My strategy now is just add some shit to the cart and pay–and go back later to snag anything you missed in the hurry to check out. Anyways, Early access for cardmembers started yesterday and continues through Thursday, July 19 and public access begins Friday, July 20 and concludes on Sunday, Aug. 5. I’ll be sharing a few posts rounding up my favorite pieces from clothes to accessories to beauty, so keep on the look out! It was hard to narrow down to 10 since I’m buying more than 10 and I want everything, but I love stocking up on quality, versatile items I’ll wear a million times like leggings, cardigans and cute, cozy shoes–but I also want to get some statement pieces like this coat and the pink hat. The Versatile Items to Put on Now (and subsequent season)

Honestly, I can’t even tell you how many times I’ve worn this dress in the last three weeks it’s been in my possession. A few weeks ago I was shopping with Ashley at Marie La Mode since she knew the owner from college (small world!) and I tried this on, ripped the tag off, paid for it and walked out in the dress. And I think everyone who knows me has seen me wear it on multiple occasions :: shrugs shoulders :: Read on for my fave pieces to wear now and for fall: My Favorite Summer Uniform (that transitions into fall!) Naturally, black dresses are what I’m most comfortable with, and it’s so simple to style for any occasion or season based on accessories. The Dress A minimal dress like this can be styled a million ways for any season. I love it for summer because it’s just one loose layer to wear with anything easy from birks or mules–and that’s it! Utilitarian Fashion for Fall

I’ve made a 180 turn from my not-so-practical early 20s style filled with platform heels and short skirts. Now, I’m in full Ghostbuster uniform and couldn’t be happier over it. Functionality is chic too! One Piece Outfit Style Throwing on just one article of clothing really simplifies my mornings–Just button up this one piece and go! There are more feminine, slinky versions of a jumpsuit, but this custodial jumpsuit suits me just right and love that I found it at Target. Target is killing it in the jumpsuit division. I love this v-neck knit version, striped wrap jumpsuit, and this basic black one that could be styled a million ways. A Backpack To Take On the Go I borrowed this Louis bag from Brooke and now I feel like I need one myself! I’ve always been a backpack fan because of its practicality. I could be hands-free and shove all kinds of shit in it. Obsessed with this mini Herschel Supply Co. one that comes in several colors (including CAMO!!!) and this vegan leather backpack I’ve linked to before! Easy Shoes for Fall Summit by White Mountain shoes like the one I’m wearing here (and have in virtually every color available) […]
